We had a great time flying the Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course early Thursday morning. We captured some spectacular footage and look forward to producing a high quality video this fall.
The golf course is located right next to a community airport so we worked closely with the airport association to ensure that no one was flying during our recording.
Shoot a pic of the hole sign before flying the hole for logging purposes
Batteries - This took all 4 of our Inspire batteries and 2.5 of our Phantom 3 batteries
SD Card - we filled up a 32 gb sd card on hole 15
Strategy: Lift off from the back of the tee box and fly the hole and then drop down to 10ft to shoot an arc from the back of the green
Helps to have a pilot and camera op in two separate golf carts - 4 total people
Drivers need to be spotters and keep pace with the copter - give feedback on copter positioning and green placement
Talk with maintainance about movers and sprinklers ahead of time
We started at 6:30 am to avoid as many golfers as possible. The lighting changed dramatically by 9:00 am when we finished.
